This extra long cage for SRAM Red and Force eTap eTap 12-speed rear derailleurs is made exclusively for Cycles Chinook. It includes 12T and 14T aluminum pulleys with stainless steel bearings for fast shifting.
Increase chainwrap on your SRAM Red/Force AXS eTap 12-speed rear derailleur to 50T! This derailleur cage upgrade allows for the widest range of gearing with wireless shifting. Typical installations use SRAM AXS Flattop 48/35, 46/33, or 43/30 chainrings and 10-44 SRAM Xplr 12-speed cassettes. This cage also allows for Shimano 10-45 12-speed cassettes with non-flattop chains and chainrings. We recommend adding a WolfTooth Roadlink when using a road AXS eTap rear derailleur with 40-45t large cogs.
This cage fits only the following rear derailleurs:
- SRAM Force eTap AXS Rear Derailleur medium cage (36T max)
- SRAM Force eTap AXS Rear Derailleur short cage (33T max)
- SRAM Red eTap AXS Rear Derailleur medium cage (36T max)
- SRAM Red eTap AXS Rear Derailleur short cage (33T max)
- SRAM Red eTap Rear Derailleur 11-speed A2 (made after June 2020, 00.7518.141.000)
This cage does not fit Rival or XPLR rear derailleurs.
The cage includes 12T and 14T aluminum pulleys on stainless bearings. You can add most aftermarket 16T pulleys for even lower chain friction.
Installation requires a chainring nut tool or dedicated 4-tooth AXS cage removal tool; and 2.5mm hex wrench. Other brands' OSPW cage installation videos can walk you through the process. If you'd like Cycles Chinook to install the derailleur cage for you, just ship us your rear derailleur when you place your order. We can usually send them back out the same business day.
