Modular Aluminum Tandem Crankset

We set out to create a modern tandem crankset that would meet the needs of most tandem cyclists. The resulting collaboration between Cycles Chinook and Aerozine is one of the most versatile tandem cranksets available.

Each crankarm is adjustable in length from 170 to 175mm using the Aerozine Adjustable Length System (ALS). The included inserts may be set to 170 or 175mm. Other inserts are available from Aerozine to set these to 171/174, 172/173, or 172.5mm length. One front crankarm and both rear crankarms have the popular Sram 3-bolt mounting interface for direct-mount chainrings or spiders. Spiders are readily available for 130bcd 5-bolt, 110bcd 5-bolt, 104bcd 4-bolt, 94bcd 4-bolt, or WolfTooth Camo. Compatible power meter spiders for the front crankset are available from SRM, Power2Max, Xcadey, and Sigeyi.

Both spindles are 30mm diameter for compatibility with modern frames and bottom brackets. Front spindle is 126mm long for use on 68mm wide eccentrics (the most common size for road and gravel tandems). The rear spindle is 140mm long for wider compatibility and proper chainline with 148mm thru axle or 145mm quick-release rear hubs. Additional 30mm axle spacers may be required depending on the frame and bottom bracket.

Q-factor is 143mm front and 159mm rear.
